Waiting for my tail, will it arrive!?

    First post! Yay!
Before xmas, following a mermaid photoshoot, my boyfriend offered to buy me a tail!
I excitedly accepted and sent him links to the ones i loved.
We are in australia, and he was informed the tail would arrive before xmas.
Then he was told it wouldnt get here until after xmas....now he has been informed that its on a boat..... yes....... shipped by ship.
I assume its from the USA.
He doesnt want to disclose too many details to me, so i dont know everything about it. The man is now worried it may not turn up at all, i am however, in my mermaid wisdom, optimistic!
Anyone else had something like this happen?
    Ami x

Well we can't really tell you much about how often it happens for the particular company if we don't know the company, but it has only been a month over due, some tails take a while to reach their destination because of weight.

Im trying to get him to tell me the company, good to know that the weight means this may happen often though!
It was the fact that a boat is involved that threw me!
    Thanks x

Yeah a boat is rather odd but I don't usually buy anything as heavy as a tail from overseas, maybe some people who have can tell you if their tails went by sea rather than an airplane? Does he know the shipping carrier?

    Ill ask him.
It should only be a fabric with monofin, so i didnt think it qould require boat.
Let's see what details i can extract .

You're in Australia so your tail has to go through customs. Customs can hold an item for up to 90 days.

Silicone tails always get held up with customs here in Australia but if its only fabric there should be no customs holds. Good luck with your tail and I look forward to picks

If its on a boat, its mostly like from China. Was it one with "free shipping"?
