That would be great , the next thing for me is to sculpt the tail body which I suspect will take a while that's why I cant get my hopes up.

Oh, I didn't know they made a specific merman one. I just figured whatever color a guy liked, he could wear, lol

MeliPixie: It's the only one that mention merman in the description.
Marinus Mortimer: Those looks really complex

Wow is that what those whales' flukes really look like? Sorry to sound ignorant, my sister is a dolphin lover, so I know more about those than whales.
Oh I never read the descriptions, lol. I knew Obsidian is a male character I just didn't realized they purposefully marketed his tail for boys.

here are a few of mine
wow these are great flukes!!! I love all the different colors and designs!!
Lol some are my personal tails and some I've made for other people
Yours is in there
Here's a couple of mine, both based on butterfly wings:
The comma fluke:
(Colouring based on the Alpine Black Swallowtail butterfly)
And the peacock fluke:
(Based on the Peacock butterfly, but also very similar to the small tortoiseshell, which I used for the colouring)
Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Lilija & Slim ~ thanks!
I just loved the shape of the Comma's hindwings.
I did that fluke to fit over a finis foil, so it's small, agile and floppy:

The Peacock fluke is huge in comparison, and just fits over my fibreglass fin. It's not so floppy or agile, but it gives amazing propulsion and looks a lot more graceful:
