Galveston or Houston Conventions?

I've looked it up, and I can't seem to find any Houston or Galveston mer cons. Maybe someone should host or create one? Any ideas or any place someone can hold one?

If I remember correctly, there was an annual gathering planned for Galveston once. But, things either fell through or were muddled over the year.

Since then, there's been mini meets over the summer. I really don't know if Texas even has a big enough Pod interest to try again. Lots of mer school training sessions, but nothing else.

There's occasional DFW pod meets but we don't have a large group

A con has been thrown around a couple times. It always fell apart and never came to fruition. If we want a Texas mercon, we need a group of dedicated mers to research and get one going.
