Mahina Monofin VS SoDive Monofin?
I've been using my SoDive Triton monofin for about 4 years now, and it's stood the test of time pretty well. But I'm looking for a new monofin, and I was wondering if anyone out there has both of these monofins and can give me some insight on how they perform versus one another.
I'm a bit tentative on buying a Mahina because they're a bit out of my price range, but I don't want to buy another Triton. (They're great, just not mermaid tail material.)

Walmart.com is currently stocking the Mahina fins for a cheaper price. They are around $80 currently (with free shipping I believe?). You might have to search around to find the right size though.

I have the SoDive hydra and a mahina merfin. Overall I found them quite similar in performance, which was really surprising considering how much floppier the mahina's rubber is compared to the hydra. As far as speed and propulsion go there weren't any noticeable differences, though I haven't timed them or anything.
The main difference for me was in the foot pockets. I found the hydra more comfortable to swim in due to the shape of the foot pockets, as well as that extra space left between your feet. In the mahina my ankles are basically touching, which was slightly less comfortable than the hydra. It's really not a big deal though, and I absolutely love swimming in the mahina.
I do think that the absence of that gap between the feet, as well as the absence of ankle straps, makes the mahina a better choice for fabric tails.
Hope this helps!

Rett, I just ordered mine off Amazon for around the same price. Walmart didn't have the color I wanted in stock at the time.
Sabori, thanks for the insight! I just ordered my mahina about an hour ago!!
