In need of a particular shell sequins color and a wig!

    Hi people of the sea!

I am a little desperate mermaid, because I want to make a mermaid top and I am looking for the shell sequins in "carnival" color, but I really can't find them anywhere.

I knew that Cartwright had them but I sent an email and they said that this color isn't available anymore
Do you guys know where I can find them?

Also I need an advice about a wig, as I would like to change color of my hair without the need of dye them, but it seems that ordinary wigs aren't suitable for water and get easily ruined.
I am looking for something cheap as I want to make a first try to understand if our will be a "love at first sight" or I will end up hating wigs
    Any suggestions?

Thank you very much indeed guys!

I bought a bunch of the 14mm x 12mm carnivals a few weeks ago. They are in closeout. I need to look and see if there are any left, but there were then. Extremely cheap. They also have Mermaid Green, Deep Blue Sea, and Hawaiian Orchid on closeout. BUT... the iridescent coating does come off very easily. I am going to try to coat them in resin to use them.

I just looked. I guess they did sell out of them. I'm sorry.

For a wig, look trough Aliexpress for synthetic wigs. They don't tangle as much in the water either and keep their style. They're cheap and have about everything there, it's my go to place for cosplay ^-^

I gave a look to Aliexpress but a friend of mine kept saying that ehquality isn't great and that the wigs tangle a lot in water :/
This is why I asked, but I'll follow your suggestion and I will pick on just to try

On the sequins... I'm sorry, I really don't. I bought as many as I could, because I love that color as well, and now I'm hoping I have enough. Cartwrights does still have other shapes in that color, so maybe you can figure out an alternative scale pattern/shape.

As for quality, look at the reviews. Don't buy a wig that hasn't been reviewed, if the reviews say it's okay you're probably fine

I will follow your advice then! Thank you very much indeed

All wigs will tangle in the water. Or out of the water with wear.

You just have to take good care of them.

I got a nice lace front recently on Amazon for 30$ I'm in love and mostly got it for my pirate outfit but plan on eventually using it with my tail. It had good reviews and doesn't have the normal shine of most synthetic wigs.

As Mermaid Brandie said, all wigs will tangle in or out of the water with wear, just be ready to care for your wig before and after wear with a comb.

Personally my best cosplay wigs have came from Match wigs and Arda wigs. They're well priced and quality is top notch, I've not had any balding/thinning with my wigs from them yet, and best yet they look natural. There is nothing I hate more with my past wigs was when they had that un-natural gloss to them. that just looked fake.

What resin are you using?? I have sequins that desperately need coating and I'm not sure what to use!
