After shelving my silicone tail project for various reasons, I decided to resume! I'll be using this thread to post my progress and any silly little projects I might do in the future! On with things... My original fluke mould. It is based off the h20 style fluke (because I love that style) It was sitting outside for months so I decided to bring it inside to clean it and add more details. The tip of the mould broke off but that can be easily fixed.
Currently cleaning the scale mould in preparation to be cast. It too was sitting outside for months and has warped a bit. This scale mould was a bit of a flop as it was going to be caster in fibreglass but I'm gonna make it work regardless!
Something extra.. A fluke mould! I still had some monster clay lying around so I decided to practice my sculpting skills and sculpt another fluke mould. Each scale on the sculpture has been individually sculpted.
I'll be buying some more plaster to cast the scale sheet and possibly the new fluke mould. I'll be also buying a finis foil monofin because that was the fin that was recommended the most to me. I'll be casting the scale sheet before I get the monofin, so I'm all ready to go!
More pictures will come soon!
