    I've used both my phone in a lifeproof case and my gopro. It works perfectly fine for them as long as I keep the cord out of the shot of the lens.

    Do you secure it on the actual step of the ladder or the side pole? And do you set it up vertically or horizontally? Honestly I tied a string to it and let the phone hang and I taped the string at the side of the pool lol, not too effective but it worked kinda.

    I strap it to the steps of the ladder. Sometimes I slide it so it's balanced against the side pole of the ladder too but it's always sitting against the actual ladder step.

    I'll have to try that next time. Thank you for the tip and recommendation of what to use
