Copyright?
I am making my first silicone tail, and I don't want to do anything super fancy for the fluke. I would like to do the classic fluke shape. Mernation has already used the classic fluke shape. Would I be violating Mernation's copyright?

You cannot copyright a mermaid tail/fluke/paint design etc. It falls under costume/clothing, or a single one could be singularly copyrighted as a sculpture if it's not worn- but still needs to be registered as copyright. it's not automatic in USA (in Canada all of our art is auto-copyrighted)
