    mold release?

I am making my scale sheet and using plaster as the mold. What can I put in between my scale sheet and the plaster so I don't break the mold?

a good coating of vaseline works fairly well, and I've heard of people using cooking sprays, like PAM. If you're not planning on re-using the clay from your sculpt you could likely use a spray-paint. As with anything else though TEST, TEST, TEST!

Another Note, try adding some metal grate to the back of your mould, so it's harder to break as you lift it from the sculpt and turn it over and move it about and stuff.

You could try using alcohol (usually 99%) and baby powder. I have no idea how this would work but it a cheap alternative to buying mold release they taught us in my mold making class. Vaseline is usually a good go to.
