Mahina vs Finis Shooter vs Finis Trainer?

How do the Mahina, Shooter and Trainer compare in PROPULSION?

    Hi Lyara.

I believe the first tail I swam in had a finis fin, but I'm not sure which one. I currently use a Mahina which is a great fin. I find it has great propulsion and is just a really nice tool. I do find I need to wear neoprene socks with my Mahina, because it started to give me blisters after a few months of wear. I did not have this issue with the finis thin in my learning tail. Not exactly and answer to the question you asked, but hope it helps none the less.

As far as propulsion goes, I'd get the Finis Trainer. I currently have the Mahina and while I still like it, I wish I could kick harder with it. Whenever I really get myself going with hard, fast dolphin kicks, I can feel the fin folding from the pressure. I know finfolk uses the trainer in a lot of their tails. It holds up and propels really well with all that silicone on top of it!

To add on to that I believe that the Shooter and Trainer have comparable propulsion, its more of a preference of shape since the trainer is vertical and the trainer is horizontal
