What do your latex tails weigh? Could you make a "dry" tail, one that isn't meant to be swam in so it doesn't include a monofin?

The tails weigh around 3lbs. They don't have to be worn in water but if you get a tail without a monofin, the tail flops and there's no control over it. Not very pretty to look at :/ But if that's how you want it, it's totally doable. If you want to talk to the tail maker more in depth, send her an email at mermaidparties@gmail.com
    Thanks!

Can you make a walkable latex tail(as in the fluke is open at the bottom and can be pulled up so I can take awkward baby steps)?

I'm sure the tails I make could easily be modified to be open at the fluke for walking but I wouldn't custom make one that way because I wouldn't want to cut it wrong and then the tail be ruined. The flukes are heavy from the silicone and would easily be ruined if they dragged on the ground at all and would be awkward to hold up to walk. I just wouldn't recommend a latex/silicone tail for that.

Can the scales be a little different in some parts or would that be too hard? I have this cool idea that (it does look like another mers tail idea but I promise I didn't steal it) and the scales at more diamond shaped and larger in certain parts. Could you do that?

What type of fabric is the latex tail made of? Spandex or Neoprene?

I'd love to know as well!

Your tails are beautiful--and so affordable too! I'd definitely be interested in speaking with you further about a custom design if possible? :-)

Do the monofins have straps? Can the fluke be a different shape than the ones I've seen?

The monofins I build securely fasten to your feet and are glued inside the fluke so you dont have to worry about it slipping off. I will post pictures by the end of the day. And yes, the flukes can be any shape you like
