    Unhappy My Uncle Died :(

    Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the longtime silence, just a lot going on between planning a big event, working mermaid parties, as well as personal health issues. But unfortunately already 3 weeks into the new year and I get work that my Uncle died at 79 from a bad bout of the Flu. Its been a struggle with my moms family since my mom was made the one, to handle all the arrangements and her siblings want to manipulate her to do what they want. Its just been an overall few days of arguments etc.

I could use some cheering up right now. tell me some fun stories or share silly things if you like. Just need to get my headspace out of what I've been helping my mom deal with the past few days. I'm also running a gofundme to help my mom with some funeral expenses and rent a casket for my uncle's wake: https://www.gofundme.com/help-us-pay...-uncles-casket if you want to donate even $1.00 it would be forever appreciated. If not Its okay, but if you want to share it along, please do.

Thanks for reading. Love you all

I'm so sorry for your loss and I wish you guys good luck with the family stuff. My family went through that last summer (and are still dealing with settling the estate) with one of my adopted grandmothers. It's definitely a challenge.

Funny story, since you requested one:
In August 2017 I adopted my fur-baby, Gandalf. Now at 7 months old, he is finally aware enough to have an attention span for several minutes at a time, identify when things are different, and problem-solve without my prompting. In light of these changes, I decided to test him the other day: It was not one of my brightest ideas.

Gandalf has learned to identify normal behavior when engaging humans: high energy and smiles usually mean "happy to see you", loud noises and/or pulling away mean "I don't like what you are doing" - and humans are always upright or level with the floor or bed. My test: How will Gandalf react if he sees a non-responsive human (mommy) head towards the floor, with the posterior and feet still on the bed?

Gandalfs answer: Smell and nudge for .5 seconds, then bite mommy's bottom to confirm lack of response

The bite wasn't hard, but Mom bruises really easily, so now I have a Gandalf shaped bruise on my behind. Mom will be teaching him other methods to use, lol.

For you viewing pleasure (if dogs tend to give you the "aww" reaction, like myself), Gandalf, the 7 month old Irish Wolfhound:
(sorry this is blurry, it was taken with my phone in low light)

    Attachment 42799

He is 98 lbs, as of Tuesday, stands 32 inches tall at the shoulder, and is a fantastic cuddler, and lap-dog

I hope this story helped, even if only for a few seconds.

    Best wishes!
