Mahina monofin for a first monofin??

So I've never swam in a tail.. or a monofin. I've been a fantastic fish of a swimmer all my life, and I have completely fallen in love with the look of the Mahina monofin. And since I recently got a new good paying job I think it's time to get my Mahina. Any mers have any advice or personal experiences using a Mahina??

The Mahina was my first monofin and I love it. Mine is 3 years old now but shows little to no signs of wear an tear even though I use is ALL the time. It's extremely robust, easy to swim in and quite powerful, looks beautiful and is made from recycled rubber. I have had some issues with blisters but a pair of neoprene socks totally fixed that. You won't regret it.

Its my favourite fin and a great start if you're a decent swimmer to begin with.

Hey! I got a Mahina monofin for my first tail, and I love it. It a speedy devil, and super flexible. Because it is made of rubber, it won't break easily either. I recommend it!

P.S, if you get it from an online Walmart store or Amazon, you can get it for much cheaper.

I use the mahina and it's really nice for leisure swimming. I was able to find mine for $65 on Zulilly but it was the only one in stock at the time. Sometimes I see them pop up on Zulilly every now and then. I know Swim Outlet carries them and there's usually always a sale going on.

The picture I posted originally I edited the color, well the whole photo, honestly I think I want the water woman edition (the black one) I just don't like the colors of the originals. So if I can't have a pretty pastel sparkly fin then the black one is the one for me

I just received my Mahina!!! Will hopefully swim in it this weekend so excited, but I'm a bit disappointed by how badly it was packaged bear in mind though that I ordered mine from a cape town dive shop not from Mahina mermaid directly. So the packaging is going to be different.

    looking great!
It's a fantastic, if a bit uncomfortable, fin. Makes up with speed for the discomfort, tho.

I wish they had one in white as well, would totally buy another.

I know right so excited to go swimming. Going to go to a local Olympic swimming pool soon. Was overjoyed when they told me that monofins are allowed

Sooo I swam with her yesterday will post a vid soon maybe. Must say that I'm extremely satisfied and from others reviews so are other mers. The propulsion I was able to get in the pool was magnificent and I could get to one end to the other in under two seconds. So I would definitely endorse this product.
