    Making foot pockets

    Salutations MerNetwork!
My Guppies and I have been working on a line of Monofins to be sold by Whimsical Warrior to benefit a charity of choice(which charities has yet to be determined). They'll be in size measurements of cm and I'm considering offering varying ankle sizes, but unfortunately, I've hit a rather large roadblock in production. I can't figure out how to make the hollow foot pockets happen.
If you have any ideas, I'm all ears.
When you're caught and find yourself tossed back,
take advantage of the motion, and catch the next wave!

I have personally never seen anyone make their own foot-pockets. Everyone I have seen who has made their own monofin has used either pre-made foot pockets, or some sort of bootie. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but I'm wishing you the best of luck!

Make a sample monofin with bi fins or monofin foot pockets that you can buy seperately, and glue it in place.

You can use this to make a casting of the foot pockets.

Then refine the casting like sand paper the edges, make it all smooth, add toe holes etc.

Jaffa, that sounds great! Unfortunately I want to make a bunch of sizes.

Rett, your reply kind of restated my problem, but in doing so I did find a way to get the pockets formed. (I think). More research is being done.

You could make a whole range with different sizes of bi fins. That way, you'll always have something physical to refer to, and its easier to bounce ideas off each other.
