Hey, everyone! My name is Tanya and I’ve been a mermaid for about 7 years. I owned alot of fabrics tails and one starter silicone tail that I ended up selling. I got interested in mermaids when I watched The Little Mermaid, Splash, and H20:Just Add Water. I always feel at home and free whenever I swim. I never swam without my mermaid tail as of 7 years ago. Therefore because I love being in the water and aquatic related things I believe I’m a mermaid at heart. I performed at several birthday parties as a mermaid in my life, but right now I’m on hiatus because I’m trying to finish up my degree. I’m currently in the process of getting my silicone mermaid tail and I can’t wait to show it to you all!

Yeah I noticed more mermaids are popping up in Texas within the past 3-4 years. I became a mermaid when I was 18 and now I’m 25. For a while, it was extremely rare to find any other mermaids in Texas. Pretty happy that there are more mermaids in the Texas pod now.

Sometime by end of summer I will be moving down to San Marcos so I’ll be close to Austin. That means I could potentially see the mermaid parade and stuff Pretty excited about it
