Know any merman-appropriate games and tricks?

Fellow mermen, I'm curious -- what can you do during performances that differentiate you, and complement the mermaids you're with when you're together? Most of the tricks and games discussed here look far more natural when done by the ladies. (I don't see myself doing bubble hearts, for instance.)

I'd love to learn what works and what doesn't. If you can share the reasoning behind them too, that'd be great. Many thanks!

while I'm not a merman, I'd recommend doing sportsy and competition-y games, like who can swim the fastest, dive the deepest, find the coin first, stuff like that.
As for what to do during a live performance like waterballet/waving and smiling and whatnot, you'll have to find something that suits your mersona that you feel comfortable with instead.
For instance, I'm more of a monster mer.
I "prowl" around underwater, look menacing, and have a pair of fangs to flash (ok, not so kid appropriate, but I'm not doing kid parties).
I guess sitting somewhere in a regal pose with a trident or harpoon and looking on the cavorting mermaids like you are the keeper of the pod would always work if you can't think of anything "to do" per se.

as well, in a completely different direction, you could laze about on the substrate, 'draw me like one of your french fish' pose, you could hoard props or goodies, build things out of substrate like little pebble castles. i don't think the problem is having something overtly masculine to do, its feeling out what character dynamic plays well with the girls.

Haha anyone can poke others with a trident. The smart mer survives by knowing what to do next.

Thanks Echidna! I suppose we're competitive that way, it'd be fun to stage a mock race or depth challenge.

I'm not sure I'll ever do kid parties either, but it does help to know the scary look is a grown-up option.

Yup, the whole thing needs to be seamless. Thanks for the reminder!
