New Guillermo del Toro movie: The Shape of Water

I already love Guillermo del Toro's movies, but I'm especially excited for his new movie because based on the trailer it looks like it's about a women falling in love with an aquatic creature that looks like Abe Sapien.

    You are never alone.
    There are about
    7,266,786,800 people in the world.
    So mathematically speaking,
Even if your are one in a million there are still about
72,667 people who are just like you.

I know!!! I really can't wait! It's supposed to be super dark and sultry and kind of a next level Beauty and the Beast but with a sea creature instead of a furry one!

So pumped. Del Toro is willing to make weirder movies than a lot of Hollywood. The ideas of a romance with a character that isn't sexy is totally out of the question for a lot of studios.

I'm gonna see this pretty much the second it comes out.

This looks awesome, but I don't understand why it's rated R! Why why why do filmmakers have to go and ruin a movie that looks amazing with something like that?!

How does R-rated content (or an R-rating, some movies get it for a really stupid reason) automatically ruin a movie?

I think I was being a way too harsh saying it ruins the entire movie, what I was trying to say was, having sex and nudity is completely unnecessary for anything. (plot advancement, character development, ect.) I don't think ruins the movie, it just has no need for any R rated content.

The r-rating comes from the sex scene, where the fish man and the woman who rescued him are finally together without any glass between them so it is a rather large plot advancement piece.
