Some IG concerns before I set up a mer account

I'm at an interesting stage in my own mer life, and want to find out as much as I can. Right now I'm interested in networking and building an online presence, and my plan is to start a pure mer and cosplay Instagram account. My real name, of course, won't be on it.

I've read that as long as you set up under an alternate email and don't link to your own Facebook, you should be fine and there'll be no link back to your actual identity. Is that sufficient, or am I missing something?

Hello ransom. I have multiple IG accounts myself and there’s a few things you might want to do. As you said, use an alternate email and don’t link it to your FB. Also, if you add your phone number to it, you can delete it/disconnect from the account once it is set up. Lastly, you can turn off contacts syncing. If for whatever reason there are specific people you don’t want to see your IG, you could also block them ahead of time if that was the case. Hope this helps
