Fluke rest for wheelchair--looking for ideas!!

Hello! So I have an old wheelchair I'm working on making it all for going to conventions in tail. Footrests aren't fin friendly and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for making a fin rest?

If the foot rest angle is adjustable, I would recommend having it go straight out so your legs would be straight rather than bent. This will help keep your fluke out of the way of the wheels.
If your footrest isn't adjustable, I'd recommend adding guards to each side, and maybe extending the footrest out so there is more fluke room
I'd also recommend adding padding so your fluke doesn't get damaged.
    Good luck!
