I almost wonder why it took them so long.

Let the storm rage on!
I'm surprised they never attempted a mermaids franchise. (closest thing was the Little Mermaid TV series) Twenty bucks says that if the live-action remake does well they're gonna go crazy with mermaid stuff, ha ha. It's funny, mermaids have gotten more popular in the last few years but not many companies have really tried to cash in yet.
Anyway, cool idea. I bet a lot of guests will enjoy it.
It is true I heard from insider knowledge yeah, I shared it too! I think it's pretty cool. Maybe it'll help with some of the public perceptions.
That's amazing, Italy about time Disney swam into the picture! I totally agree.

I like that they're using an actual kids mermaiding school with experienced swim teachers and the whatnot
Take the wave now and know that you're freeTurn your back on the land face the seaFace the wind now so wild and so strongWhen you think of meWave to me and send me a song
Yes I background checked this, it's being done by the well established Mermaid Academy in Florida who have been operating with instructors/lifeguards since 2014. They have an excellent record with lots of great reviews. They do cater to all ages and just change their ratio depending on the age group and how many folks are participating. There's lots of great videos of them online. They have always catered strictly to the resort crowd and not general public, so it won't take away anything from publicly working mers and could land more pro mers jobs too.
I think this will be a good thing overall now that I know more about it
Sounds good. I know Disney holds themselves to a really high standard and usually thoroughly think through these guest experiences in great detail.
Fabulous idea!
Now the Ariel remake is gonna have to have her go back to sea...
YOU GAVE UP WHAT FOR A GUY?!?!?!?!?

Disney previously offered Mermaid School experiences at select resorts, where guests could learn to swim like a mermaid or merman using a specialized tail. These sessions, designed for both children and adults, were available at resorts like Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Participants were taught swimming techniques and fun mermaid poses in a safe, controlled environment led by trained instructors.
The program was very popular among fans of Disney’s imaginative offerings, especially for those inspired by Ariel and the enchanting world of "The Little Mermaid." However, it was paused during the pandemic, and its return has been uncertain until now.
If Disney is indeed planning to restart Mermaid School this spring, it would likely generate a lot of excitement. The experience is a unique way to blend imaginative play with swimming, making it both entertaining and educational. Families and mermaid enthusiasts alike would probably embrace the opportunity to take part in such a magical activity. However, some might raise concerns about safety, the cost of participation, and hygiene protocols for shared tails, though Disney is known for its high standards and attention to detail.
If this program is officially announced, it would be a delightful addition to Disney’s resort activities, allowing guests to immerse themselves even further into the magic of Disney storytelling. Let me know if you’d like me to confirm the details from Disney’s official announcements!
Disney's Mermaid School likely provides participants with a unique opportunity to transform into mermaids, Geometry Dash Lite embracing the magic inspired by iconic stories like The Little Mermaid.
