Progress post and a question about 2 piece tails

My current work in progress! This is addicting.

I think for my next one, I'd like to make a tail that's in 2 pieces, where the skin over your legs is separate from the fluke, so that I can use my fantasea one monofin. I'm curious how those are usually attached, or if the foot-covering part lays flat on it's own? I know I've seen at least one tail like that floating around the internet...

I've done something like that, my skin could be slipped over the monofin because I made a piece of elastic at the end of the tailskin where you have the point that sits in the middle of the monofin shape (If that makes any sense) Tried with velco before that, but it wasn't strong enough to keep the 2 pieces connected, or my velco was of a weak kind.
Your imagination is your only limit

I have sling style skins for the fantasea one that work for a pattern. I was hoping for one that didn't loop around so that I could potentially sub in a fantasea 2 or 3, painted to match.
