Attaching silicone fins to fabric tails?

I want little fins like these (https://www.etsy.com/listing/5341666..._home_active_5) but I can't find much on how to attach to a fabric (probably fin fun) tail. Also considering them for my soon-to-be silicone tail. The page says I can glue directly to silicone with silpoxy but that makes me uneasy. How can I attach these? I would be having a friend sew it. I'm clueless.

To sew them into a fabric tail, just open a side seam, insert the little fabric tab sticking out of the base of the fin, and sew the seam closed again. The tricky part is to sew it as close to the fin as possible so the fabric tab doesn’t show. Hand sewing works best.
