Stitch for reattaching mystic scales

Happy New Year All,
I had noticed my Fin Folk Mystic tail (Which I have never worn yet, and is on display) dropped a scale. Does anyone know what stitch they use to attach these so I can put it back on?

Use zigzag stitch. Its the go to stitch for all swimwear, neoprene and other stretch fabrics.

it's a plastic scale, a sewimg machine won't work
