    Cartwright sequins... Glue or sew?

So about a week ago late at night I got the fantastic idea to try to make myself a scaled mermaid top, did some quick research, and ordered 7 small bags of random sequin shells from Cartwright that I thought were pretty so that I could yknow touch em and look at em in person.
Well... those sequins came in today and I realized I really have no idea what the best way to adhere them is. I've heard hand sewing, machine sewing, and glue.. these sequins are just to mess with as a trial run so I'm down to try anything but I'd like some advice on where to start experimenting.

So long story short, glue or sew? Any input is greatly appreciated

Either works... if you have the 22mm use the machine with a leather needle and upholstery thread and use e6000 to reinforce the thread, either by dabbing the start and finish of the row with it or you can take a popsicle stick and smear the glue on the back side of the thread to lock the thread in place.
I find the smaller ones work best with hand sewing then putting a small drop onto the knot

Will silicone adhere fabric to plastic? I thought silicone was finicky about sticking to anything but silicone? (But tbh idk I've never used the stuff)

    Aight, Thanks for the info
One last question since you seem to be quite knowledgeable in these sequins.. if I were to make a neoprene tail and sew these guys on.. would I see them on before or after the two halves are sewn together? Cause like, I feel like the sequins would get in the way when sewing the halves together but I also feel like sewing them around basically a giant sock would be impossible... (I have very little sewing experience, sorry if it's a dumb question lol)

Sew them on before sewing the two sides together, But leave room for seam allowance.
