Dyed my hair for the first time to go with my mer

So I have been wanting to dye my hair for a long time. I’ve been wanting to dye it pink. Since I’m in the process of going mer, I decided to go for it as my tail has pink in it. Name: IMG_0882.JPG

Here is the tail I’m getting

So it’s not a perfect match, but it’s a start. I’m sure it will take a few tries to get the color right

Nice! Just don't go swimming in chlorine with that colored hair.

Or oil it up in pure coconut oil or olive oil. It helps abit but you'll smell like a salad!

We're dedfo not allowed to do that in UK pools cos you have to go shower off all body lotions, deodorants etc off you before you go in the pool. It kills the filters

If you dyed it so it would match your tail while you go swimming then i suggest getting a wig in the right color , chlorine and dye don't really like each other very much

Your hair looks good and I’m sure it will beautifully match your tail. I only hope that the chlorine will not damage the dye. I’ve read that you can presoak and use hair sunscreen to avoid damaging your hair with chlorine. Aside from that, don’t forget to shampoo right away and use deep conditioner after swimming.

Really? I never knew that. Well, I'm never dyeing my hair again then, it never lasts in chlorine.
