    New mersona icon

Hi, just thought I'd post that I changed my icon, depicting my merboy self.

Looks like the villager from animal crossing. I like it!

    Yeah, I realized that

It also bears similarity to the art style of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

I always loved both art styles, so I think this is a win win.

Oh yeah, I can see that. The eyes, if they had more sharpened edges, would totally look like the eyes of Link or Terra from WW! And the thick lines totally emulate the look of the art style of the game.

The thing that's funny is that I actually made Toon Link a merboy.
    Cause' of course I did.

Doesn't look quite as nice as these recent one's I've been doing though.

That's just because you have more practice now. It still looks good and I can clearly see how you progressed since then. Good job! I always wanted to learn to draw. I can do it a bit. But not nearly as enough to really have presentable works. So I always admire anybody who has the tenacity to progress in this seemingly unsurmountable task . (not to mention my boyfriend is an artist, which makes me see how much training one has to do to acquire any amount of skill in art)

    Thanks.
I'm actually drawing in an unlikely program - Scratch, but MIT, a programming language to teach people how to code. Even though I'm in my early 20s now, I've gotten very attached to the vector graphics editor.

And because MermaidAsteria requested an icon a while back, I spent today making this one for her

I will consider doing more mersona drawings. Let me know if you're interested, but I must, must stress this - I'm not doing these as commissions, just as free requests. Because of this, there's no guarantee that I'll get one to you. I have other stuff in life of course, so it may take a while, or I may not be able to.

Still, I like being able to make these for people. I love helping fellow friends become mers.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. And I made it square for easy icon usage. I realized lately, that icon and avatar are not the same thing on mernetwork, I was wondering "why isn't my profile pic showing up on the forum?" and it was because you need to set both pictures for it.

Carl the Cod isn't active a crazy amount, but I made him a refreshed mersona as well.

I think I'm confident at this point that I can fill requests for mersonas - so let me know if you want one!

So, this isn't a mer drawing, but it's something I made along with the others

I've been debating back and forth about whether I'm a furry or not – I guess I made my decision.

Welcome to the club :3 (Would post a pic but too lazy to crop it to the allowed size xD) I have a red panda fursona.

Yeah, my preferred furry self would be a golden retriever. They're just such cute dogs. Plus, I think it would be fun to wag such a big fluffy tail!
