Thread: Want a mersona?

    Want a mersona?

Hi fellow merfolk, hope you're doing well in the midst of this difficult time.
Because of my increased free time, I'm putting out the offer to draw a mersona for anyone on the site that wants them (this will be at no cost) .
I'll probably be able to keep up, it depends on the demand though.

It will have to be in the artstyle I'm using. It's easier to draw in, so I can get it done faster.

I think my only rule is that I don't do nude mers.
Other than that, if you want one, simply reply that you want one in the thread, and send me a personal message with a description of your desired mersona. Be as specific as possible.

Here's the ones I've done so far if you haven't seen them.

    My mersona, Current:

And lastly, if you actually want a fursona rather than a mersona, I might be able to do one; no guarantees though. I'm not very experienced in drawing furries.

I'd like one, please! Thank you for offering your talent and skills to us :-)

Can I message you mine? Or do you prefer them on the forum?

You can send it on the forum. Look at the examples, and decide how you want everything to look.

I make them using a vector paint editor, like a free version of Adobe Illustrator.

Correction to what I said above - please PM information if you want a mersona. I realized that replies in the thread don't send you a notification, so it will go slower than if done through personal messaging.

Well, because it's a cartoon, you just have to tell me stuff like your hair color, hairstyle, if you have freckles, etc.

This one was interesting, because it was a bit more of a "wild" mermaid than I'm used to drawing. I gave the mermaid a nice determined look to go along with that. Also different with this one, I normally make it my personal artistic policy that in this kind of art style I don't do any translucent gradients, but I made an exception with this drawing to capture the flower blossom - like fins.

I took some generous liberties in how I adapted the reference image, but I think this still makes for an interesting look.

As always, I cropped it nice and square for profile pic use (note: the site makes a distinction with profile pic and avatar - 1st is for your personal page, second is for you picture when on the forums.)

Oh, and remember what it says above, if you want to use it for a profile pic, profile pic is for you personal page, and avatar is for your forum view. And thanks, I'm glad you like it!
