Servus aus NICHT Wien aber südlich davon!

So I'm new to the MerNetwork, but have been freediving and following Mertailor since 2010... and dreaming of beeing a Mermaid since... well... ALWAYS ^^
I really have to search for the pic of my first mermaid costume when I was four.

Now I'm in my thirties and I finally got the courage to "out" myself as a mermaid loving adult and am ready to buy a tail (or more than one) and another monofin (mine is a fiberglass leaderfin that won't fit any tail)

So I'm ISO:

• Information (which... here, there is plenty of! *readreadread*)
• a Mermaid community in Austria
• networking with other lovely "Seapeople" ( I love to travell so maybe one day I might visit)
• Second hand trading (I havend found any threads jet)

In Wien you may have a school called "Austrian Mermaids" which offer you to swim in a tail in the public pools and you may get some friends there.

BTW: I do have a Leaderfins Monofin as well.

in welche Produkte passt deine Mono und zerschneidet die ned den Stoff? ich dachte mir ich klebe einfach Gaffa drüber dann gehts vielleicht.... aber mir ist aufgefallen dass die Gummifassung Risse hat also jo... mal sehen wie lange die überhaupt noch hält.

Hast du schon mal was ausm Ausland bestellt? erfahrungen mit dem Zoll?


Ich bin übrigens mit den gründern von Austrian Mermaids in Kontakt und wir würden eventuell (also wir haben das Thema erst kürzlich besprochen aber no nix fixiert) über den Sommer Kontakte knüpfen und Angebote einholen für eine Sammelbestellung. Würde hier definitiv rechtzeitig was posten damit Interessierte mitmachen können.

Ich habe das separat. Eine Mermaid Kat fürs Mermaiding und eine Fiberglas fürs Tauchen. Die Hyper passt in kein Kostüm das du kaufen kannst, daher müsste ich das selber nähen. In der Schweiz gibt es eine Schwimmlehrerin, die das gemacht hat.

Aus China schon öfters aber immer darauf geachtet, dass ich unterhalb der 21€ bleibe, um keine Zollkosten zu haben (müsste nachschauen ob die Zollschranke nicht bei 22€ liegt, aber sicher ist sicher). Bei höheren Beträgen kommt dann die Umsatzsteuer dazu und dann irgendwann mal Zollaufschlag. Das kann die Post für dich abhanden und dann fallen dafür auch noch Gebühren an. Wie das abläuft ist halt von vielen Faktoren abhängig. Was willst du denn bestellen?

wir würden mit herstellern kontakt aufnehmen bzgl Gruppenrabatt. Mertailor, Finfolk, Aquariusmermaid, FinFun etc. haben eher den US Markt aber kaum Europa als Zielgruppe. Wäre interessant wie die auf so eine Anfrage reagieren.
Die paar hersteller die es in Europa gibt sind halt teilweise eher schwach im design und bombe teuer im preis leistungs verhältnis.

Nachdem das alles individuelle Produkte sind, bezweifle ich, dass du für Silikon Kostüme einen Mengenrabatt bekommen kannst aber beim Versand könnte ich mir vorstellen, dass da Einsparungen möglich sind (nur 1x durch den Zoll statt mehrfach und ggf. günstigerer Übersee Versand). Das Problem wird halt auch da sein, dass für Pakete ein Maximalgewicht von 30kg gilt, sofern ich mich da richtig erinnere. Sonst bräuchte es so viele Bestellungen, dass sich eine Palette ausgeht.

In der der deutschen FB-Gruppe werden hin und wieder Sammelbestellungen gemacht. Weiß nicht ob das auch die Kostüme betrifft aber für die Mahina-Flosse wird das hin und wieder mal gemacht.

FinFun kannst du auch über Amazon bestellen, wenn ich mich richtig erinnere und die versenden auch über die eigene Webseite an Europa.
Mertailer oder Finfolk hätte schon was, aber dort find ich eher die Silikonflossen interessant.

Looks like you already found your pod - great! Super useful tool for finding other merfolk in your area and networking quickly. After that I always suggest using the search bar or just browsing old threads and reading about what interests you - weather thats making tails or reviewing purchased ones, accessories, swimming techniques, picture threads and so many more. This site isn't as active as we used to be but there is still plenty of awesome information in the older posts. There are also some great and informative youtube channels like Nerdmaid Faith, Mermaid Courtney and Raina Mermaid. As far as second hand tails, I know there is at least one facebook group in addition to the classifieds forum here.

This site isn't as active as we used to be but there is still plenty of awesome information in the older posts. There are also some great and informative youtube channels like Nerdmaid Faith, Mermaid Courtney and Raina Mermaid. As far as second hand tails,

So far, Mernetwork is the best site out there for all the technical stuff and discussions about sellers and creators. The Facebook groups seems to focus more on lifestyle (pictures, etc.). Youtube is something where you need to be careful as there is usually some money behind.

I know there is at least one facebook group in addition to the classifieds forum here.

There are more but that is not what the discussion was about. It was bulk ordering fabric tails from US vendors.
