Want to Make a Tail Similar to a Mythic Tail?

Hello all you beautiful merpeople!

I had a question about possibly constructing my own tail. I wanted to make an individual scale tail the way Mythic Tails are made, by mixing epoxy resin to make the scale so it is water resistant and sewing them on by hand.

I was wondering if it would be a more eco friendly alternative to making them out of plastic sequins. Do Mythic Scales tend to be durable and not create a lot of waste? Are they easy to keep out of the pool?

I get concerned because my mom is a wildlife rehabber and I worry that even if I use the plastic in pools that small ecosystems that live around the pools may get affected.

Has anyone else other than FinFolk Productions done scales out of resin where they could offer me advice? I see a lot on silicone tail making but I want this tail to be more of a hybrid tail because I am still a newer mermaid.
