Singing Mer

So me and a couple of mer friends have the possibility of a gig if we can sing mermaidy songs. Though the people that I have been talking to said no Little Mermaid so I'm at a bit of a loss here. I need 5-6 songs and I already have Jolly Sailor Bold
Though I need something that could be done in rounds or harmonizing parts easily.
P.S. all of us are in choir and there are two altos and one soprano. I am an alto but can sing higher if need be

There's a close connection between sailors and Mers. Any good nautical song or sea shanty will do. Many of them mention mermaids.

Check out the artist Tennis, 99.9% of her songs are about boats and the ocean, there's probably something there. Also! Stephin Merritt did a whole album called My Life as a Fairytale, and each song has to do with a hans christen anderson, and one of them is about a mermaid. it's pretty good, here are the lyrics:

Try some of the songs at http://www.contemplator.com. I like Fish of the Sea and the Golden Vanity. Married to a Mermaid is also a good one! If you don't want to stay with sea songs, there are also plenty of very pretty traditional tunes on the site.

Songs like this and My Jolly Sailor Bold are perfect. I talked to the board (where I'll be doing this gig) and they said the creepier/mystical the better. They want your classic mermaid.
