Another great one today mermaids and mermen. Following mermaid Aqua's blue goldfish is another blue one, the blue chromis. This is a native of the south pacific, is a great aquarium fish due to it's docile nature, and can live 8 to 15 YEARS if kept properly!

I love the concept of outlining blue fins with black, it's very striking.

Leaving in a little bit for a wedding in Arkansas so there will have to be two fish on Sunday. Today's fish has an awesome fluke design with a very unique edging at the very end. It is the black stripe surgeonfish.

The inspiration for my first tail comes from the coral beauty angelfish:

Though I tend to post a "Bizarre Beastie", from time to time, over at my blog at Squidieval .

My boyfriend (Orion) has recently taken on another job and it's keeping him from having much of any free time to research and post fishies. Feel free to post some of your own beauties though!

cool! Here's one from me! Check out the rainbow fins! Just when you think that seeing someone in a tail that has "crazy out-there colors" is too far-fetched for biology-- mother nature shows us that it's ALL possible!Name: image028.jpg

this is what inspired me to base my tail design off of (which is now finally being made by mermaid parties , and is purple and blue rather than purple and red.)

    the purple fire dartfish.
