Is that a rainbow fish?
that fish is awesome! Also looks like a cichlid... is it?
Reminds me of the Rainbow Fish books I used to read when I was little
Anyone have a picture of a masked glass goby?
Hugs, fishes, and mermaid kisses!
Yes, merboy, I think it's a cichlid but I don't know for sure

Hi Spindrift Mer,
Very cool photo! Did you get my email with the link to my Huffington Post article with my interview with you? I hope you liked it and it's getting picked up all over the Internet on Google! Please keep in touch. Here's that link again:

The unbelievable variations of beauty in the BETTA
Amazing, aren't they?
...oh, and spindrift! I loved the octopus (I'm totally ok with other sea creatures being included, after all-- Orion started this as a thread for inspiration). I am planning on posting some non-fish creatures as well... crustaceans, mammals, etc.
And speaking of Octopi... have you seen this before? I just "discovered" it for myself recently-- it's called a blanket octopus... they release long webs of beautiful membrane to frighten off enemies.
I sketched up a tail design of this little guy once! Aren't they beautiful? http://mernetwork.com/index/album.ph...achmentid=4530
