Not a shoot just an edit of myself. Enjoy!

Went to Maui a few weeks ago and got pictures of myself underwater in my tail for the first time ever! The water was a little foggy that day (foggy for Hawaii, that is; by most ocean standards it was absolutely crystal) so it was hard to see the phone screen underwater and we therefore didn’t get too many good pictures. Still really excited, though!

Those are great shots! Looks like you had a boatload of fun.
Had my first dedicated underwater shoot this weekend! Have to work on my facial expression, though...
Edit: Don't know how to set up MerNetwork to show Dropbox images. Embedding as url shows only the link, but as img the link seems broken...
Edit: Switched to imgur, now it works.

The water was incredibly clear, and we were lucky that the bubbles of the scuba divers have all dissappeared by the time of the shoot. Although with a few bubbles more it might have looked even better, more like swimming in water and less like floating in mid-air...

A friend of ours is getting into underwater photography in a serious fashion. This was his first time working with merfolk. I think we all did pretty well!
The photobomber was enjoying her first time in a tail, and is a natural!
Well, I'm feeling pretty swish!
that's the coolest photobomb I've ever seen!
@Merman Oliver, is that the Dive Tower in Siegburg?
I didn't know they allowed freedivers, let alone merfolk.
Most dive facilities thereabouts I've looked into are still very focused on bubblers and seem to regard everything else as exotic (had to explain to them lengthily what I do, and they didn't seem to get it regardless)
Yes, that is the Dive4Life in Siegburg. They allow freedivers, at times there are way more freedivers than scuba divers there, and several freediving schools use it for teaching the "deep" part of the courses, as it has a maximum depth of 20m with a big ledge at 7ish.
If you want to go without a school you will need to have a buddy and certification (SSI/CMAS/AIDA/PADI etc), though. But if you do, they are very ok with merfolk.
The picture has been taken before the major refit this summer, now there seem to be way more "rock" themed decorations at the walls.

First time out with my Mernation tail! Though I only got a few pictures with Saelyyia, the whole pod had an absolute blast.
Behind the scenes of mer-life: Our merwrangler has to wheel us around with a cart hehe.
she believed she could, so she did

Photos from my photoshoot from yesterday, at the Omeo shipwreck dive trail. It’s a very popular location, hence why the water is quite turbid from everyone stirring up the sand. Not too good for when the mermaids want to play! But, the particles of sand do add a lovely touch to the photos. By the way, my Mernation tail swims beautifully, is fast and blends in perfectly with the Australian oceanic environment. I was so fast my merfriends had trouble keeping up with me!
(Yes, you can see in the second pic just how muscly my arms are ahaha)
Photos were taken by one of my merfriends who was also at the location!
