I'm curious, did you ever get sent the award? I've been talking to a lot of the winners from last year and the majority of them never received the awards. I also noticed the website hadn't been updated and was still showing Kylee as the international mermaid, she was from mercon.... and was still being advertised on the website as the merpalooza international mermaid this month. Marie the Canadian Mermaid won Merpalooza for international, but it never seemed to get advertised anywhere or announced that I saw (of course, outside of Marie saying it, and then Sirena and I featured her in Tail Flip of our own accord). I mentioned it to Stephanie Sims and she said she'd be updating the website but still... I kinda think people shoulda been sent their awards, and the website shoulda featured those people this whole time. Especially since people paid to cast votes. I hope it's better organized this year for that stuff.

I have heard from several people/groups that won that didn't receive them. So that's something that should be looked into this year.
