    Empires of the Deep

So I accidently stumbled upon this new movie called Empires of the deep. It is a US/China coop film set in ancient greece. It is about warring undersea factions! Different merfolk clans fighting over territory and what not. The plot sounds so different and amazing and the photos of the costumes and props look FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!! take a look http://roberthood.net/blog/index.php...dersea-empire/ and http://roberthood.net/blog/index.php...ermaid-island/ I'm scowering the internet for ALL the information I can find about it. I've been crossing my fingers about it since last year.

What worries me is that there were a lot of director changes which makes me feel unstable. And then on top of that there are a bunch of articles saying it's still in production (dated 2010) but there's no other new news or photos. It's like it just dropped off the face of the Earth. I wish and hope it will come out sometime soon but something tells me it was dropped. :/

Gah. New news. I just went on the 'Empires of the Deep' facebook page and discovered that this movie is surprisingly still in production. Someone on the facebook page says that the movie is in post production where they are focusing on cgi effects, and that the movie is planned for release in September of 2012.

There is also this article: http://www.thefilmcatalogue.com/cata...l.php?id=12609
that says it's due out next year and that it will be released in 3D (which is something I've never heard before). And on top of that there are new photos and a different trailer on the facebook page as well. Now this might just be stuff they had planned or stuff that just hadn't been seen by the public before but the mer in me hopes that this film is going to be released. It would be so awesome to have a mer-focused movie with epic battle scenes and stuff.

This looks awesome! I'm sure we can all get tail and costume ideas from the features of the characters.
