Utah Mermaid Volunteer Work

Hello!!

I was thinking about doing some volunteer work performing for kids at the Road Home this October. I've been in contact with them, and they would be interested in doing it, and it would be a fantastic opportunity to bring some magic back into some less fortunate lives. The catch is they need at least 10 volunteers but no more than 20. I'm thinking that if we could get at least 5 mermaids and their mertenders to come, we would have the perfect number. Would anyone in the Salt Lake/Wasatch Front area be interested in volunteering with me? I'm leaning toward the end of October, as a Halloween thing. If you would be interested, let me know! The dates are every Wed and Fri nights from about 6 (to include set up time) until 8 pm. This could be a great opportunity for us to meet and do some good for our community.

i wish i lived in utah to help you out and you are right it will bring back the magic. I'm doing a benefit for kids with kancer (i know its spelt wrong but thats how they did it) and those kids will get to see a "real" mermaid and put a little light back into their eyes.

That would be fabulous Mermaid Jessica! The tentative date is 11/2 (Friday) and it will be from about 6-8 pm. I don't have the final information from the Road Home just yet, as we are still working out some details. But I will keep you posted!!

For any mer that will be in Salt Lake, I have the final date and times set. We will be volunteering at their Midvale location (529 W 7300 S) on 11/2 (Friday) from 5:30-7:30 (that includes set up and take down times). If you are interested in volunteering, I can't have any more than 20 volunteers, and I have about 5-6 slots left. You can bring your mertender and we will have a couple of strong guys to help out as well so you don't need one. I may well need help with the pattern after all. The method I thought I could use, I totally misunderstood! I may need another pair of hands to better measure my fin! And another sane-brain. Shall we do that this weekend? Then we can craft and watch movies!
