    I think it was mentioned in Iona's Accessories FAQ, but if you are planning on putting the fake seaweed in water, it is best to use all plastic, not fabric leaves and plastic or wire stems. That would hold true whether it is for mer accessories or aquarium plants.

    well, the website for Ikea over there has it on it....so I assume so.

    They refer to it as an artificial potted plant but it looks like seaweedesque enough for me

    If you look in the fake food area you can find nice plastic plants that could pass for sea plants.
    Other aisels to look would be clearance and wreath areas

    Try that. It's a chinese wholesale website. I've gotten a lot of good stuff there. It's where I'm gonna get the bits for my starfish top.
