I asked for inspiration ideas to practice designs and here are two of my favorites that I can share. My absolute favorite design I've done is being commissioned into a tail so I have to wait to share.

Make sure you get your measurements with and without the mono fin.
And how for the fluke is going to extend from the end of the mono fin.

I'm sure you already knew this but just helpful advice!

Thanks! I was messing around drawing flukes and I instantly fell in love. I made a duct tape dummy of my legs and will be taking measurements just to be safe. I already have most of the scale sheet done and half of the fluke molded.

I've got a couple designs planned for a fabric-and-sequin tail. One is planned to be my kind of 'day gown', the other my 'evening gown'. I'm already starting on the red one that I've temporarily named "Sea Drake" that I'll post a working thread of shortly showing my development process!
