This one I did at home but managed to screw up anyway. But the world needs more merman tail designs. Based off this picture:

So, the other day, when Hubby and I were moonlight-swimming (first time we'd swam together without the baby, me in tail) he thought it would be fun to hug me as we swam underwater. 0.o
Didn't work the way he thought.
So he said "That'll be way easier when I have a tail."
When? He said 'When'? I checked my hearing. Yep he'd said 'when'. So now I'm working on Merman Designs like crazy!
I'm doing it sort of like that Neptune's Daughter game.
Gimme a min and I'll post some pics.

WOW! I love the shark design, kind of reminds me of an opposite-Zac tail with the points going inward rather than out. Very well drawn, too.

I think Dottie's rough sketch looks all right, actually. Just not as detailed, but the rough outline of the general muscular chest.

I don't appreciate cussing, sir. If you don't like it, you could be a little more polite about it, and leave out the crude language. And, I was actually going for beefy pecs, like in your picture.
Please also keep in mind, that there is no shading or color yet at all.
I do appreciate the critique, though, and will attempt to make something more... masculine.

EDIT:Actually, no. No, I won't try again. I spent hours on that, looking at different models, and getting every line just right.
If you think you can do better, French Merman, be my guest. In the meantime, here are some boobs, just so that you can compare.

You wanted to show tail shapes, not do a yaoi pin-up
I find the shark, whale, and dolphin styles most fitting.

If I start looking up fish, I'll end up with a gazillion tails!!
For this one, you'd have to do lexan fins and use neon paint.
