i believe she said itll weight about 8-10 lbs, not too bad, especially when wet.

Same here! I've only had a monofinless fabric tail and my Magictail, so I don't know how the silicone will feel.

Well the Neoprene inside the tail feels like thick or kinda stiff spandex, well if you have worn a wetsuit before thats basically it

The silicone feels awesome, because the scales are imbedded it feels real and doesn't stick to anything, if you got your exact measurements it'll suck right onto you and fit you really well. The neoprene is a thicker fabric, for someone who hasn't felt it before, think of fabric foam sort of. It keeps you really warm, but the silicone on top is great, and it's about 7-10 pounds, in the water it's weightless though, it's lovely. It's relatively neutrally bouyant, so it won't force you to the surface, but it won't help you sink either. Hope that answered your questions! I have mine if you have any questions about the partial silicone! :=)
