[Poll] Which of these scale designs do you like best?

I've been making scale patterns using inkscape. I'd love some feedback on what you guys think looks best.

Should they be rounder, or sharper? Do they look better with more overlap, or less?

I think I like no. 4 best because I prefer a wider spaced pattern, I suppose. It makes fitting challenging, but I like the look of it better.

I like where you're going with these, they're all quite nice.

I like no 2,3 and 4. It looks more natural with the sides tapering.

Thanks for the feedback! I think I like 3 and 4 equally, but I'm leaning towards 4 since I think it might look a little more distinctive and unique.

Based on the feedback so far, it seems pretty clear that people are not in favor of the sharper ones, huh? Any suggestions on ways to improve on designs 3 and 4, or do you think they're basically done?

You don't see many wide scales. I don't think I've ever seen a tail with scales that actually look like what you'd find on a fish. So 3/4 (and yeah, particularly 4) are the most distinctive, I think!
