Sorry the picture's sideways. But anyway, I thought to myself, "Imagine if someone was able to make a tail out of wheat! Haha and then the heads of the wheat could be the fluke! 'I am the mermaid representative of fertility!'" Haha I know, I'm just too funny.

Hmmmmmmmmmm-ten minutes later-mmmmmmm. Interesting... I think it can be done with some epic weaving skills and REALLY long pieces of wheat.But I'd assume it would hurt! :P

My tail designs are always really out there, for example my last design was inspired by Puss in Boots! Haha. I'm sure someone could do it! The greatest artworks are those that are different!

Basically it's a whole tone of layers. There's the solid tail on the very bottom layer and the faded tail on the very top (about 25% opacity I think) and then every single colour is a layer on it's own. I then blur them to get a better blending. I use Paint.Net just because I'm more familiar with it than photoshop, and my old laptop with photoshop on it was recently dropped on the ground, so I can't use it anymore.
