Making my first top for my sister

Started making a top for Mermaid Ama. We bought a bra on sale and I've spent a while sewing fish netting on it. Then I went to michaels and they had the fake plants on sale so we stocked up, I sewed them on AND glued them. I've started adding little embellishments. I've got two shells but I have been trying for 6 months to get two that match and cant, so I got 2 that are close and we're going to sand one down. The shells aren't on I just set them against it to see how it looks so far Photo isn't the best, the flash washed out some things so it looks a little weird, done with my cell phone haha.

    Beautiful!
When I was planning on using lions paw shells I bought four, in the hopes two would match.
They never were perfect. But I did get very close matches. ^_^ still have them too... gotta do something with them maybe...

Well no two shells are the same, right? I really like it! It makes me think if Poison Ivy. I say dye her hair orange and stick her in a green tail! :P
Do you want this anemone to sting you?

Nice!! I have used liquid nail to hold large shells like that. What adhesives are your using for this project, if you don't mind me asking. FYI, I love seeing the stuff you post on your facebook wall Raina.

    Ooh, this is gorgeous!

I kind of like it when things aren't perfect matched with mermaid accessories; it's kind of like we just took things we found from the bottom of the sea and did what we could with them

    Either way, lovely!
