I don't know what kind it is, whatever kind mertailor uses for their basic tails. I tried to put the straps back on and I sort of got it... but if I pull on it just a little, they start coming undone!

Mermaid Avira, he uses waves in his basics, I know it's hard, but you just hook it back on it's spot and pull and it will click on it's place. I had both of my straps unhooked when my tail arrived( no idea why...), it was almost an hour of pure pleasure when I struggled to attach them...
