Sticking the scales/ everything to the neoprene

    Soooo, question.

I've got all my pieces done, two scale pulls, two gorgeous flukes, the works.

Now how the hell do I stick those guys onto the neoprene? I tried layering the latex on the neoprene and then sticking the other latex onto it. But it seems as though that latex is just not drying. Am I doing this right? It's been almost 24 hours and the latex in between the dried latex pieces and the neoprene is still as wet as when I put it on.

Are there any other options for glueing these pieces down?

That's weird, what kind of latex are you using? Also also how much latex did you use? Because you don't need a lot to attach it to neoprene.

Yeah I'd bet you used too much. I worked the latex in with my brush and removed the excess, so the surface was wet but didn't have any extra sitting on the surface. Give it another shot and let us know if it's still not working.

Maybe it'll help if you help keep the circulation between the materials. Like placing the fabric on a grate or something so the air can interact with it, allowing it to dry faster. Good luck!

I find the answer with EVERYTHING when it comes to neoprene is the dreaded hand stitching.

I would recommend a leather needle!

    Slit, and stitch.

Then maybe build up a little more latex around it to make look a little more natural.

I havent worked with latex much, but at this point I'm damn near an expert at neoprene. LOL
*wipes sweat from brow and continues to sew 15mm sequin scales* ...ugh
