actually, I wanted to know how well-known mermaiding is over there, whether aquariums hire mers for show etc (because I considered moving there for a while. we changed plans by now, but it might be interesting to hear all the same).

tbh i never even heard of it there, but i did live in a very small place... it might be bigger in the cities tho, like athens?

it might just not have gotten that far.
mermaiding is far more common and supported in the US than in Europe, I believe.
