If I remember correctly, Lyla and Nixie went off to be part of the scouting group to find a safe spot for the pod to relocate to while Mako was, y'know, infested with mermen and stuff.

They haven't come out to say it but most actors don't really wanna be on a children's show forever. Lucy Fry is now on Vampire Diaries (I think, one of those Vampire Shows) and Ivy hasn't really been spotted with something else I don't think.

Ivy used to be in home and away but not sure what she is up to now. Lucy did a movie called vampire Academy which may be the reason why she didn't return for the second season. i just hope they execute mako mermaids, the ending that is.

I can hear Jonathan Shiff now: "MAKE EVERYONE A MERMAID!!! THAT FIXES ALL THEIR PROBLEMS!"

But oh man, can you guys imagine how jealous Cam would be if Carly became a mermaid??? It's comical AND tragic to think about, but oddly that tail doesn't look anything like an H2O one - it reminds me more of a Splash tail.

I just finished watch Ep 26. Did Eric lose his powers when he touched the stone and still remain a merman like Zac did?

Yeah, he's still a mermaid. I'm assuming the destruction of the stone means all the powers it took were returned. Plus if you need more proof, his last shot in the series is him running into the ocean... I'm going to assume he still had his tail.

Also apparently one of the tails has met its end This might mean this is the last mermaid series if they're handing out (parts of) the tails compared to what they did after H2O (kept them).

it doesn't really look like a part of a real tail. it looks more like a small replica or production piece before they finalized the design for the real deal. looks great though.
