Thankyou!
and the ball outfit waaaass.... A silk skirt I made a few years ago, over a train hoopskirt (made sitting down entertaining lmao), a black lace-yolk shirt I owned, the underbust corset I owned, the belt was made by a lovely lady in wales for the occassion (I added nautical accessories), the tophat I owned and I made the monocle complete with my lil buddy 'squiggle' the octopus.
scuse the makeup-less face, I hadn't had much sleep at that point lol
I do dress in alternate stuff sometimes, but growing up and bodily changes has made stuff I used to wear, not wearable anymore. I'm hoping to make my stuff.
I'm hoping to go to Whitby one day and deck myself out in some stuff I made
Hello lovelies,
I'm afriad I'm going to be that person, reviving the thread, but I absolutely count myself as goth. Have been for as long as I have known how to sew and whatnot. Im a big fan of the Victorian type style, its so elegant!
yay! We always need more Goths

How have I only just found this thread?! You can add me to the list of goth mers! I love goth stuff and have been dressing in goth and alternative clothing since i was about 8/9 years old lol (finding goth boots at that age was a challenge, let me tell ya XD)
I dont get all dressed up every day in all my goth stuff but I always have some element of dark clothing/style going on =D
I love the fact there are so many gothic mers on here!

Hey! Now this is awesome!
I've always been more of a classic kinda goth, I guess you could say. You know, the classic kind of style. Various shirts, vests, boots, jewelry, and my signature piece, my favorite black kilt!

I only just saw this thread. I am a very dark, “gothic” type of mermaid.
I dream of a day when they may rise above the billows to drag down in their reeking talons the remnants of puny, war-exhausted mankind --of a day when the land shall sink, and the dark ocean floor shall ascend amidst universal pandemonium.
This popped up while I was searching for something else, but I am also a goth mermaid so figured I’d add my name to the list going here.
Well....I’m an aspiring goth mermaid.

I don’t identity as a Goth, but I’m more of a darker, dangerous siren mer. Living in Tennessee, I’ve adapted to being a freshwater mermaid, but my mersona is from the deep sea. I’m a Scorpio, so naturally I wear a ton of black and dark colors, but I manage to wear so much dark without suspiciously appearing gothic to the public. In middle school, I once dressed as a Goth/Punk Rock girl for Halloween, sporting black and neon pink colors because I was curious of the style. I have two Victorian dresses in my closet, by the way! One is a dark red velveteen, and another is a floral satin dress with hues of purple. I usually wear them to events at a place called Historic Rugby, which was a Victorian settlement in Appalachia. They’ve got some haunted buildings! I wore the maroon dress again this Halloween for a party.
When I make my first tail (I’m tail-less at the moment), it’s going to be silver with black and blush details. Once I save up enough for my tail fund, I want to buy a Beauty and Brine silicone mermaid tail. I’m in love with the layered textures, subdued, realistic colors, and darker aesthetic.
I'm new to Mernetwork, and I dunno how active this thread is anymore, but as a fellow goth/punk gal I had to say hi! I'd love to get to know others. ^_^
I'm not goth but as a metalhead girl i tend to befriend goth girls easily. Also yeah know that i have my mertail i love it but it's far from dark style but still i'm more inspired from myths and legends of the past than Disney when it comes to mermaids so i'm also on the dark and dangerous mer style side in that aspect. This topic seems dead but who knows maybe you will take it back to life.
