    Mermaid Music Video

Here's a music video from an artist in another country that I saw someone share it in my feed on FB. I thought I would share it. This is a mertailor tail in the video and around the 2:00 minute mark you can see right through the fluke and see the monofin really badly.

    does anyone else see it?

Yeah. I don't think a non-mermaid would notice, but it does bug me a bit.
Aside from that, it looks okay on her, and I really enjoyed the video itself. I like the music, and the story in the video.
I was surprised when I pushed play and heard opera.
I think if they'd gone with a different tail, it would have been really good.

that's a pretty infamous tail too, a lot of photos etc of it. Pretty video, but I wouldnt pay that much for a see through tail. I feel like between the obvious monofins and the extra long bits these styled tails might as well forgo the silicone and just be fabric. Because they have the traits that people try to avoid when they buy silicone.

So tail aside, I love the video, lol. I was surprised it was opera. Beautiful cinematography.

Ya that is what bugs me is just that you can see the monofin. It just ...bugs me.

honestly if it were something cool. like instead of a monfofin it shown a skeletal structure (don't ask me how) it would be amazing.

Yeah. I knew the monofins were considered one of the flaws of his tails becuase you can see the monofin pretty clearly on most of them through the fluke (you can go to his FB page and look at pretty much any of the photos of the tails laying out and see for yourself). Which for $3k a lot of people think shouldn't be there, but then some people think only mers really notice that. But being able to see through it that badly and see the monofin that strongly in sunlight? Eeeks!! O_o

I gotta say, another thing that kinda irks me is the paint. I see photos all the time of paint coming off of his tails (off of Mike's tails too). Usually when I see them the tails are only a few weeks old too. The heels are usually scraped of a lot of the paint. There's a few pics that I remembered off the top of my head and could get them real quick-

I know Blue Mermaid's mermaids pictured have gone back and had their tails touched up paint wise, but then after that I see wear on the heels again at other events. I also know he says his paint doesn't chip, but then he sells a used tail with chipping paint, and states that some of the paint has come off.

I dunno, there are just flaw with some tails that bother me. Obviously why I went with another tailmaker :P It doesn't seem to bother most people, but I guess I just like people to know what they're getting into quality wise when they buy a tail, and what to expect.

Rant having over with now, lol :P The cinematography was really beautiful! Does anyone know if that's a classic Opera song, or an original? I could have sworn I've heard this elsewhere several times, but can't remember where..

This video was really beautifully done. I don't like the monofin showing though....it takes away from the realism

    Rusalka! <3
It's one of my favourites (yep, I'm into opera. I almost never listen to modern noise.er. "music")

While the monofin business is more than obvious (why not use a lexan fin if you want see-through?!),
what bugged me way more is the incredibly overdone make-up of the actress.

Really, I hear the wonderful music, see the beautiful scenes and costumes, and everything is completely ruined by that lady of the night-do.
And don't get me started on the fake eyelashes *shudder*
You could squish an elephant with those. Urrggh!

I wonder if the tail was made with darker colours would the monofin of been so obvious?? Even maybe the idea of a dark fabric inside the fluke (like black powermesh or something) would that help hide that? It'd be interesting to know.
I don't like seeing obvious monofins in flukes. Flukes shouldn't be transparent unless your monofin is transparent too...(that'd be awesome )

    Skeletal, seriously! awesome.

Bonnie's tail is darker and you can see the monofin. So is pearls. I saw a few of them at merfest and most had visible monfins. But whatever, we're just picky cuz we're in the community lol kids seriously dont notice that stuff.

It's in the first act, before Rusalka asks the witch to become human.

Finally watched Rusalka. Renee Flemming sang the part of Rusalka . I didn't know this was sung in czech , I thought it was Russian.
