Possible summer meet? GA/SC mers!

I'm currently living over in North Augusta, SC which is not even 10 minutes from the Georgia state line and I'd love to meet fellow merfolk! My tail is still under some extreme construction, but should be finished by summer (hopefully).

Is anyone willing to meet either at Thurmond Lake or another place close to Augusta? I'm having some car trouble so I don't want to go too far from home in case something happens >.<



EDIT: I made a list of all the State Parks and public pools in my area (those under 2 hours from my location) and the "swim at own risk" means there isn't a lifeguard on duty.

South Carolina State Parks:

Lake Greenwood State Park
-Admission: $2 for adults, ages 15 and under are free
-Times: Mon-Sun from 9am-6pm
-Extra: Lake swimming at own risk

Hickory Knob State Resort Park
-Admission: All are free
-Times: Open 24 hours
-Extra: Limited lake swimming at own risk, pool only for cabin/lodge guests

Aiken State Park
-Admission: $2 for adults, ages 15 and under are free
-Times: Mon-Sun from 9am-6pm
-Extra: Seasonal swimming in designated area

Baker Creek State Park
-Admission: $2 for adults, ages 15 and under are free
-Times: Mon-Sun from 9am-6pm (open only from Mar.1-Sept.30)
-Extra: Lake swimming at own risk

Calhoun Falls State Park
-Admission: $2 for adults, ages 15 and under are free
-Times: Mon-Sun from 6am-6pm
-Extra: Lake swimming at own risk in designated area


Hamilton Branch State Park
-Admission: $2 for adults, ages 15 and under are free
-Times: Mon-Sun from 6am to dark
-Extra: Lake swimming at own risk


Georgia State Parks:

Mistletoe State Park
-Admission: $5 parking
-Times: Mon-Sun from 7am-10pm
-Extra: Seasonal lake swimming at own risk

Elijah Clark State Park
-Admission: $5 parking
-Times: Mon-Sun from 7am-10pm
-Extra: Seasonal lake swimming at own risk



Public Pools/Summer Pools:

Augusta Aquatics Center
-Admission: $5 each visit
-Times: Mon-Thurs from 12pm-4pm
Fri. from 12pm-6pm
Sat. from 12pm-3pm
-Extra: Scuba diving and locker/showers available

Henry Brigham Center
-Admission: $3 for adults and $2 for children (ages unknown)
-Times:
*Sept-May: Mon-Thurs from 10am-12pm and 4pm-6pm
Fri. from 10am-5pm
*June-Aug: Mon-Thurs from 9am-8pm
Fri. from 9am-5pm
Sat. from 12pm-4pm
-Extra: Locker/showers available with heated pool, but can swim in tails only when younger children aren't there otherwise it's too crowded.

Dyess Pool
-Admission: $2 for adult and $1 for children (ages unknown)
-Times: Thurs-Sun from 2pm-5pm
-Extra: Summer pool, open only from June 2nd to August 1st

Jones Pool
-Admission: $2 for adult and $1 for children (ages unknown)

I know Thurmond Lake, I've been there lots of times with family and the water is really clear at the bottom when it starts getting deeper.

There's also Splash in the Boro (I think that's how it's spelled) over in Statesboro, GA. They have a nice sized pool that I loved, I think it goes down 12 feet at the deepest, plus there's slides in case we want to slide instead of swim

I put down a few good State parks that are on Thurmond Lake, most are 'at your own risk' which means no life guard and many don't have designated swimming areas, but just stay away from the docks

I called one of the public pools and we can only swim in our tails when the younger children are in school, which is usually in the morning before 4pm-ish. I still have to call the Aquatics Center about tails.

I'm going to be in Atlanta this weekend! My lovely boyfriend is going to pick me up and I'm going to stay the weekend (or maybe longer) in Atlanta! Me, him, and a couple friends are possibly going to go swimming at the Boundary Waters Aquatic Center in Douglasville, GA so if you're wanting to come say hi just say so!
